What's next?
Dr. Thorsten Moritz
Good morning!
I'm glad you guys signed up here. While not entirely sure where to go next as far as social media presence goes (YouTube?), SPEAKEASY and SIDECAR are unaffected by that, thankfully, and I wanted both to be in place, no matter what happens.
With TikTok's days numbered, we will ramp up the use of both, SPEAKEASY (which is about Prohibition Theology broadcasting its news) and SIDECAR (which is our live link, much like ZOOM, including chat options). If you know others who might like to join, please point them to
They can sign up there for both in a single step.
I continue to prepare for our next "The Mob" event in loose collaboration with a church in Des Moines, IA. The event itself will likely be hosted at a bar. Prohibition Theology isn't about to attach itself to a church, as you will have guessed. They understand that but are still interested in collaborating around Theology and Cocktails. The church isn't looking to make this an official church activity - in short, we're on the same page as far as that π
Some of you indicated you would like Prohibition Theology to put on a boutique event like this in your area, to minimize travel. By all means, be in touch with your idea(s). No one is breathing down our necks. If you have thoughts on this, let's hear them!
Finally, if TT goes away in a few days, where would you personally like to see our future content go? The Meta platforms seem to me like 1970 station wagons, woody design included. But maybe you're seeing something there that I don't but should?! Let me know!
Finally, the early bird rate for the eschatology course ("What on earth?") has closed. If any of you with SPEAKEASY and/or SIDECAR subscriptions want to purchase it, let me know, and I'll give a you guys a code to access the $75 rate (instead of $125). It's a drip course of at least 25 lessons on all important "end time" texts ranging from Daniel to the Book of Revelation. The goal is simply to read those texts like they did and - by doing so! - to recover their relevance for us.
The parables course on "God's Return" continues to be available too. Everything is found most easily right here:
Thank you all!
Thorsten
