The Narrative Experience
Dear all
As you can probably imagine, I have been busy getting myself into slightly better shape post-stroke (things like speaking/intonation, typing and such). As I am writing this, I am literally having to correct more than every other word. But I'll get there, and I'm grateful I'm doing as well as I am :)
Meanwhile, I have focused on existing video material I already had available and turned it into what I call THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE - a project for this Fall that you will hopefully join. It is singularly focused on making us better interpreters.
I'd like to invite you to check out the link below, fill out the form (just name and email required) and, for showing your interest, you will receive a thank you gift in the form of an intro guide to hermeneutics - the art of excellent interpretation. The ten-slide guide is of the lay-of-the-land variety and forms a good basis for THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE.
In a follow-up email, you will get a sneak peek into the theoretical part of the course component of THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE - a currently fully populated course with 30+ uploaded videos on the theory and practice of good interpretation. That course will in turn be the basis for four 2-hour LIVE WEBINARS on this very material where we pull it all together this Fall. You will be a better, more thoughtful interpreter of all things biblical as well as a more confident evaluator of social media content(!) by the end of THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE. I hope you sign up.
Seats (virtual) will be limited, and you can join at half price if you are willing to act as one of my beta testers, meaning you will be willing to offer feedback on THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE for purposes of finetuning it. Having said that, if you prefer to pay full price, as a normal particpant, I'll gladly take that as a sign of support for Prohibition Theology :) Here is the link to the form with more info and the free guide it triggers once you submit the form.
