Hello from Intensive Care
Dear all
I'm writing to you from the Intensive Care unit at Uni of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora near Denver, CO.
As you know, I travel much. This past Saturday, while on location in Denver, I suffered my third stroke in life. Will I ever get used to it, you may wonder... I don't think so! It has been a rough few days, but thankfully, after repairing me as best they could (thank you, wonderful hospital personnel!), they just released me back into the wild. I already have an artificial aorta from the last stroke years ago. Now it's a matter of dialing in my Coumadin (blood thinner) regime better so that I'll be done having strokes, hopefully.
It has been a rough year in some ways, and I feel bad about having fallen behind on my various course contents. Once at home in Minnesota next week, I'll do my best to get caught up. Having to explain one's medical challenges to clients instead of doing LIVE and recorded sessions around theology and interpretation and such is getting old fast - I want to get back into the latter asap!
This newsletter is generally not supposed to be about me. But maybe it's OK to misuse it this time just to keep you informed.
Will do my best to get caught up with providing fresh content for you! Thanks so much for understanding!
~Thorsten
